Welcome to the 2010 season of Marina Lacrosse!  Our program is underway for the 5th season!  We are excited about what this year has to offer to our team and better yet, what our team has to offer the year.  We are entering the off season with signs of stamina, endurance and potential of a productive and positive program.  We may be young with a host of new athletes joining our team, but we are mighty!  The overall goal of our program is to provide a safe and fun program providing instrumental lessons, skills and a great experience each player can take away as a cherished memory.  We strive to instill the competitive spirit in each player while not losing sight of the fun that should be experienced in playing the sport of lacrosse.  Along the way, our intention is to win games and yet again be a contender in the Sunset League.  For athletic departments across the county and even state, the Sunset League is one of the most competitive leagues known.  Our 2010 Vikings are ready for the challenge to hit the field and take on each team with integrity, sportsmanship and passion for the game of lacrosse.

Coach Carlos Cortez returns for his 3rd season as Head Coach to share his dynamic coaching style with our Vikings.  Carlos’s extensive knowledge of the game and ability to connect with these young adults is a perfect combination to not only teach and guide but mentor our players on and off the field.

“A lacrosse player is a warrior athlete who plays his heart out, while representing his team, school and community.  It is a privilege to be able to play with the Vikings and my honor to coach these young men” ~ Coach Carlos

We are hoping to put the FUN back into FUNDRAISING this year!  We will be revisiting some fundraisers that have worked for us in the past and attempt some new and exciting adventures we know will continue to build team spirit and camaraderie amongst players and families.  In addition, we enter this season with a green consciousness as we launch a campaign to our lacrosse families and beyond to be ecologically friendly.  Stay tuned for how you can learn more about Marina Viking Blue and Gold going GREEN….
